The Glastonbury-Rocky Hill ferry is the longest continuously operating ferry in the United States. Pedestrians, vehicles and bicycles are all welcome for the short trip across the Connecticut River. The site is a popular destination for residents who enjoy watching the boat traffic on the CT River. It also provides opportunities for fishing and picnicing. Bald Eagles have been observed from this location when they return to the CT River watershed. CLICK HERE to view the Ferry Park Trail Map. Route 2 West to Exit 10. Take a left onto Manchester Road. Go to stop sign and take a right onto New London Turnpike. At the next light take a left onto Chestnut Hill Road. Follow Chestnut Hill Road until the intersection with Main Street. At that light take a left onto Main Street/Route 17. Stay on Route 17/Main Street until the light at the intersection with Tryon Street. Take a right onto Tryon Street.
