Parker Terrace 24” Trunk Sanitary Sewer Encasement Project

PRESS RELEASE:

The Town of Glastonbury Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) has retained the services of a contractor to perform the installation of a concrete encasement around a section of existing 24” RCP sanitary sewer trunk main located in the rear of 2333-2327 Main Street. Project is anticipated to begin October 27, 2025 and to be completed October 31, 2025, weather permitting. In order to perform the sanitary sewer encasement work, by-pass sanitary sewer pumps will be installed and operating 24 hours a day until the encasement work is completed. By-pass pumps are retro-fitted with noise attenuation barriers, however, area residents may hear slight engine noises throughout the duration of the by-pass pumping operation.  Resident inquires can be directed to Gregory Mahoney, Senior Engineering Technician/ WPCA Staff Liaison at 860-652-7742 or greg.mahoney@glastonbury-ct.gov.
