Eversource has informed the Town they will be conducting vegetation management work in its right of way (power line corridor) in the upcoming year.  The work will be conducted by its approved and licensed contractors along two transmission corridors in Town.  Please see the map below showing the planned area for work.

The work outlined in purple is an herbicide project which is expected to begin in June and continue through September 2026.  The purpose is to target incompatible species that have grown in or resprouted since maintenance work was completed in 2025.  The Transmission Right of Way Reliability Program (TRRP) work shown in red is still in its planning phase and more information will be provided as it becomes available.  Please note this work will not interrupt electric services.  Typical work hours are Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. although weather and other conditions may require adjusting those hours accordingly.

Residents abutting the right of way will be receiving the below letter along with being notified by outreach specialists.  Please note all personnel involved will carry proper identification.
