The Town of Glastonbury is taking proactive steps to protect residents from the dangers of radon, a colorless, odorless gas that may accumulate to hazardous levels inside homes. Exposure to radon is a leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers, making testing an essential measure for the health of residents.

To encourage radon awareness, the Glastonbury Health Department is partnering with the Connecticut Department of Public Health to offer complimentary radon test kits to 50 residents who have not previously received a test kit. Interested residents should email their name, home address, and telephone number to health@glastonbury-ct.gov. Emailed responses must include all requested information to be considered.

From eligible submissions, fifty residents will be randomly selected to receive a free kit. Selected participants will be contacted via email to pick up their kit at the Customer Service Center in Town Hall.

Program Details
