CTDOT to hold public meeting on proposed retaining wall replacement and removal projects in Glastonbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will hold a virtual public information meeting regarding the proposed replacement or removal of multiple retaining walls in Cromwell, Glastonbury, and Wolcott on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

The meeting will provide residents an opportunity to learn more about the proposed projects, ask questions, and provide feedback to the CTDOT project team. The meeting will be held via Zoom, and registration is required. A question-and-answer session will immediately follow the presentation.

According to CTDOT, the projects are intended to modernize roadways and improve safety standards through the replacement or removal of multiple retaining walls in Central Connecticut.

Construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2028, pending funding availability, right-of-way acquisition, and permit approvals. The estimated construction cost for the projects is approximately $13 million.
