Road Work Planned on Route 83/Hebron Ave (June 15-30)

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) has announced a milling and resurfacing project on Route 83 in Glastonbury, from Route 94 (Hebron Avenue) to the Glastonbury-Manchester town line.

Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 15, 2026, and continue through Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

The project includes milling and resurfacing approximately 2.22 miles of roadway. Milling operations are scheduled from June 15 through June 19, followed by resurfacing work from June 22 through June 30. The project is part of CTDOT’s 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

Traffic Impacts

Motorists should expect lane closures along Route 83 between Hebron Avenue and the Manchester town line during construction. Traffic control personnel and signage will be in place to guide drivers safely through the work zone.

Work is scheduled to occur Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time, exercise caution when traveling through the area, and follow all posted traffic control measures.
