Scam Alert: Fake invoices targeting Planning and Zoning applicants

The Town of Glastonbury has received reports of scammers impersonating Town officials and sending fake invoices related to applications and public-hearing fees.

The Town will never request payment by wire transfer or through payment apps such as Venmo, Zelle, or Cash App. Do not send payment or share personal information in response to an unsolicited invoice or payment request.

If you receive a questionable communication regarding your application, please verify it with the Community Development Department at (860) 652-7510. Suspected scams may also be reported to the Glastonbury Police Department’s non-emergency line at (860) 633-8301.
