Bid/RFP information can also be obtained from the Glastonbury Purchasing office by request at purchasing@glastonbury-ct.gov. 

Responses will be publicly opened and read aloud in a virtual platform at a location specified at the time and date detailed in the specification. Please contact the Purchasing Department at (860) 652-7588 for additional information. The Town of Glastonbury reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any part of, or the entire bid, when said action is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. All Sealed responses must be submitted electronically no later than the time and date indicated. Late bids/RFPs will not be accepted.

Town of Glastonbury Code of Ethics 

Respondent is required to review the Town of Glastonbury Code of Ethics adopted July 8, 2003 and effective August 1, 2003 and revised October 29, 2013 and effective November 28, 2013.  Respondent shall acknowledge that they have reviewed the document in the area provided on the bid/proposal response page. The selected respondent will also be required to complete and sign an Acknowledgement Form prior to award. Slocomb Pond Dam Study/Design

The Town of Glastonbury is seeking to engage the services of a Consulting Engineering firm to provide engineering services for the preparation of an alternatives analysis study associated with the Town-owned Slocomb Dam located at 95 Matson Hill Road.  The chosen Consultant may also be retained to subsequently prepare plans and documents associated with the chosen alternative.  This project may consist of dam repair, replacement, or removal as determined by the Town and would include design, permitting, and production of construction drawings and specifications necessary to implement the Town’s preferred option.  Construction services may also be requested of the successful Consulting Engineering firm. 

The firm selected will be required to prepare environmental documents, assist in gaining necessary local, State, and Federal regulatory permits, and make presentations at public meetings.  Firms responding to this request should be of adequate size and sufficiently staffed to perform the assignment described above.
