Bids/RFPs specifications may be viewed and downloaded through the Bid/RFP platform by clicking the button below or by visiting https://glastonburyct.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=openOpportunities. Bid/RFP information can also be obtained from the Glastonbury Purchasing office by request at purchasing@glastonbury-ct.gov. 

Responses will be publicly opened and read aloud in a virtual platform at a location specified at the time and date detailed in the specification. Please contact the Purchasing Department at (860) 652-7588 for additional information. The Town of Glastonbury reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any part of, or the entire bid, when said action is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. All Sealed responses must be submitted electronically no later than the time and date indicated. Late bids/RFPs will not be accepted.

Town of Glastonbury Code of Ethics 

Respondent is required to review the Town of Glastonbury Code of Ethics adopted July 8, 2003 and effective August 1, 2003 and revised October 29, 2013 and effective November 28, 2013.  Respondent shall acknowledge that they have reviewed the document in the area provided on the bid/proposal response page. The selected respondent will also be required to complete and sign an Acknowledgement Form prior to award. Glastonbury High School Athletics Facility

The Town of Glastonbury (“The Town”) is requesting proposals from licensed, qualified general contractors for the demolition of the existing locker room building, and the construction of a new athletics building (the “Project”) at the premises known as Glastonbury High School and located at 330 Hubbard Street, Glastonbury, CT 06033 (“the “Premises”). Bidders submitting a response for this solicitation are directed to respond online through a secure e-Procurement portal. Bids can be submitted at the following link: https://app.negometrix.com/buyer/2832 under the BID title “GL-2021-05-Glastonbury High School Athletics Facility”. 

The Project will include the following: The demolition of the existing locker room building (4,000 SF) and all associated mechanical, electrical and plumbing within the existing building, and the construction of a new locker room building (8,500 SF) which includes a new restroom and ticket sales area in the same location of the existing demolished building.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at Glastonbury High School Athletic Turf Field, 330 Hubbard Street, Glastonbury, CT 06033, on December 1, 2020 at 10:00 AM. All bidders must attend in order for their bid to be considered. Due to the current pandemic attendees must comply with social distancing guidelines and wear a mask at all times during the meeting.

Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid amount except as otherwise expressly provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the agreed contract price.

Bidders are further advised that this project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements of Connecticut General Statutes Section 31-53.
