Enforcement
Building and Zoning enforcement actions are investigated & processed through policies and procedures adopted by respective departments. This Division also conducts joint code inspections with the Fire Marshal Division and manages the activities of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Citizens may file concerns or a complaint through the Q-Alert System by clicking here. Citizens should provide their full name and contact information to assist with further details and help expedite remediation. While the Division will make its best effort to address anonymous complaints that are deemed to be matters of immediate life safety, acting without a verified source limits our response capabilities and often delays resolution.
Fees
The Community Development Department charges fees to partially compensate for the cost of processing applications in the Building Inspection, Health, Fire Marshal, and Land Use divisions. Payments may be made by cash, check (payable to “Town of Glastonbury”), or credit card (except land use applications).
