Water Testing
As of October 1, 2022, all newly constructed private or semipublic water supply wells are required to be tested for the following constituents: coliform, nitrate, nitrite, sodium, chloride, iron, lead, manganese, hardness, turbidity, pH, sulfate, apparent color, odor, arsenic and uranium. Wells should be tested at the time of the home sale. Also, it is recommended wells be tested annually.
