Glastonbury Social Services offers eligible residents access to our Self-Select Food Pantry. Located at the Riverfront Community Center, the Self-Select model allows residents to “shop” in our newly renovated Food Pantry, which includes non-perishable and perishable food items. 

Eligibility and Participation

Eligible residents can use the Food Pantry once a month by appointment only.

In order to utilize the Food Pantry, you must be a Glastonbury resident with a household income at or below 60% of the State Median Income. Please click here for current income limits.

DONATIONS to the Food Pantry

Many community members are in need of emergency food and other daily essentials such as utilities and shelter. The Glastonbury Gives program encompasses the Food Pantry, Fuel Bank, and other Town assistance programs, and the pandemic has resulted in an increased demand for these programs.  

Food Donations

The Food Pantry accepts non-perishable food donations at the Riverfront Community Center (300 Welles St.) Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.  The community center is also open until 8:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Saturdays.  If you require assistance with your donation, please call the office to make an appointment to ensure staff will be available to assist.  Please see the bottom of this page for a list of most-needed items. 

Donations can also be made via Amazon through our Food Pantry Wish List.  Simply click on the link and order food for the Food Pantry through your Amazon account.  

Monetary Donations

Glastonbury Social Services also welcomes MONETARY DONATIONS to the Glastonbury Gives program and all funds will be allocated to the Food Pantry, Fuel Bank, and other assistance programs based on real-time community need. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
