Glastonbury Gives is an initiative created by Glastonbury Social Services. Glastonbury Gives assists residents experiencing a crisis situation, hindering their ability to pay for food, utility bills, shelter costs, medical expenses, and other critical needs. It also funds the Town's Food Pantry. It is funded entirely by contributions from generous individuals, businesses, and community groups; with 100% of donations going directly to residents in need.
How Can I Help?
The Town of Glastonbury appreciates and welcomes monetary donations as well as donations of non-perishable food items and toiletries. Please see below for more information on how to support this effort.
Monetary Donations
Your support is welcome and appreciated and donations may be made through PayPal or by check. See details below.
Donate Online through PayPal
Click here to make an online donation to the Glastonbury Gives program through PayPal. Be sure to select "Glastonbury Gives" in the drop down field labeled "Use this donation for" to ensure your donation is routed to the desired program. Please note, PayPal charges 3.49% + $0.49 per transaction for processing.

Checks should be made out to “Glastonbury Gives” and can be left in the Drop Box at the Riverfront Community Center, or mailed to:

Please write “Glastonbury Gives” on the envelope AND in the check memo line. Donors will receive a letter acknowledging their contribution in case it is helpful for accounting/tax records.
Donations in honor of, or on behalf of another:
If you would like to make a donation in honor of, or on behalf of someone else, please make note of this in your check memo line. For online donations, please submit your donation online through the PayPal link above and then email Kaida Scaglia in the Finance Department to indicate the date of your donation and for whom it was in honor of, or on behalf of, so that Town staff can record those details.
Food and Toiletry Donations
Glastonbury Social Services operates a Food Pantry which distributes non-perishable food items, toiletries, and other basic supplies to Glastonbury residents who are experiencing difficult times. The Food Pantry is supported solely by donations from individuals, families, groups and businesses.
The Food Pantry accepts non-perishable food donations at the Riverfront Community Center (300 Welles St.), which is open Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursday, and 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Saturdays. (The facility is CLOSED on Sundays.)
If you require assistance with your donation, please call the office to make an appointment to ensure staff will be available to assist. For suggestions on items most needed, please see the Food Pantry web page and scroll down for a current list.
Please note, the Food Pantry accepts only non-expired, non-perishable items.
