Camp Sunrise Volunteer Opportunities 2026
Camp Sunrise is a special needs camp for children ages 3-21 years old. The camp will run from June 22-August 7; Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at Smith Middle School. Camp does not meet on July 4th. Volunteers are needed for 2 week consecutive time-frames (60 hours) in the summer to assist with daily activities, swimming, field trips and general supervision of campers.

Health & PE Credit Volunteers 2026
Volunteers who are completing hours for Health & PE Credit (must be recommended by your school Guidance Counselor) must submit their applications online as follows:

• Students must send the following link to their references (2 different people) for completion of the reference forms by the deadline: 
  • Camp Sunrise Volunteer Reference Form
  • Please Note: Individuals that have volunteered/worked/applied for employment with the Parks and Recreation Department in the last 2 years and have completed reference forms on file DO NOT need to resubmit new Volunteer Reference Forms. Indicate "Reference Forms on File" on the application.

No Health & PE Credit Volunteers 2026
Volunteers who are NOT completing hours for Health & PE Credit now have several options for completing their application:
