If your camper will need emergency or daily medication you must complete a Medication Authorization Form and turn it into the Parks & Recreation office by Tuesday, June 16th.

Below is a list of items needed for specific classes at Music & Arts Camp.

BROADWAY CHOREOGRAPHY - Moveable clothing, sneakers, and a water bottle.

BAND AND JAZZ BAND– Campers must bring their own instrument and a pencil and eraser. Campers should have extra reeds for clarinets and saxophones.  Brass instruments must have valve/slide oil.

CREATING PUPPETS – Gently used socks for sock puppets.

FOLK DANCE - Sneakers or Closed Toe Shoes NO FLIP FLOPS OR BARE FEET.

GAMES, CHALLENGES & FUN, OH MY! - Water Bottle.  Must wear Sneakers!

GARAGE BAND - Please bring wired headphones/earbuds.

HIP HOP (ALL LEVELS) – Moveable clothing, sneakers, and a water bottle.

IMPROV – Movable clothing, comfy shoes, and a water bottle. Writing utensils and a notebook needed. 

LITTLE SHOWSTOPPERS - Movable clothing (no dresses), sneakers or dance shoes, and a water bottle.

MOVIE MAKING - Please bring wired headphones/earbuds.

MUSIC LESSON - Campers must bring their own instrument and a pencil and eraser. Campers should have extra reeds for clarinets and saxophones.  Brass instruments must have valve/slide oil. Bring Method book you are using in school.

ORCHESTRA – Student must bring their own instrument. Bow and rosin and shoulder pad as needed. Grades 3-6 should bring own Essential Elements 2 method book.

PIANO I – Wired headphones or earbuds. Alfred Music Premier Piano Course (ISBN-10: 0-7390-3373-5)

PIANO II -Wired headphones or earbuds and a pencil. Alfred Music Premier Piano Course (ISBN-10: 0-7390-3629-7)

PERCUSSION - 1 Pair of drum sticks (Recommended size is 5A, 5B or for smaller campers, size 7A.  Comfort is key so have your child test them out first if possible and Drum Practice Pad. All items available at the Music & Arts Store or online. This is not required.

POTTERY – Closed toed shoes.

RECORDER- Camper needs to bring their own recorder.

RECESS, FUN & TEAM BUILDING - Water Bottle.  Must wear Sneakers!

RHYTHM AND BEATS - Moveable clothing, sneakers, and a water bottle.

SONG & MUSIC WRITING – Please bring wired headphones/earbuds. Please also bring a notebook and pencil.

SCULPTURE – Smock shirt that camper can get glue or paint on.

SHOWSTOPPERS – Movable clothing (no dresses), sneakers or dance shoes, and a water bottle.

STRINGS LESSONS - Campers must bring their own instrument and current lesson book from school (i.e. "Essential Elements Book 1”).

A SWIFTIE MINI MUICAL - Movable clothing (no dresses), sneakers or dance shoes, and a water bottle.

THEATRE WORKSHOP – Movable clothing, comfy shoes, and a water bottle. Lined notebook, folder, and writing utensils needed.

UKULELE - Campers must supply their own ukulele. Ukuleles can be purchased from Music & Arts Center in East Hartford or online.

YOUNG ACTOR’S WORKSHOP – Movable clothing, comfy shoes, and a water bottle. Folder and writing utensils needed.

WORLD DANCE – Moveable clothing, sneakers, and a water bottle.

WORLD GAMES- Water Bottle.  Must wear Sneakers!

WORLD MUSIC- No flip flops!
