Program Registration Information
Residency Requirements
Programs are for Glastonbury residents unless otherwise noted.
Summer 2026 Registration Information
Registration Date: Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. online

Please review the following important information to ensure a smooth registration process:
✅ Check Your MyRec Account Access:
Make sure you can log into your MyRec account before registration opens. If you've forgotten your username or password, [CLICK HERE] for instructions on how to recover or reset your account details or contact our office for assistance.
✅ Update Your Household Information:
Confirm that all household members are listed correctly, with accurate ages and grades. If you notice any errors, please call our office to make updates.
Tip: Pay close attention to children currently marked as "N/A" or "PK" who will be entering kindergarten in the upcoming school year and call our office to update their grade level accordingly.

Registration Payment
VISA, Mastercard or Discover payments are accepted on-line, by mail and in-person.
If paying by check, make check or money order payable to "TOWN OF GLASTONBURY". Do not send cash. Please write a separate check for each program.
Notification of Program Enrollment
We DO NOT mail receipts for registrations processed on-line, but we can e-mail a receipt to you provided you have an e-mail on file. You may also reprint a receipt anytime from the on-line system. Include a STAMPED, self addressed, business size envelope with your mail-in registration if you would like your receipt mailed. Your receipt will be mailed within 2 weeks. Please do not call the office.
Parks and Recreation Refund Policy
Please review your registrations carefully:
- Refunds will be automatic if a program is canceled.
- To be eligible for a refund, requests must be submitted by 8:00 a.m. 6 full business days before the program start date. Requests received after this deadline will not be accepted unless accompanied by a doctor’s note.
- Refunds cannot be given on trips, special events, facility reservations and passes.
- For Glastonbury Boathouse and Riverfront Community Center facility rentals, please refer to your contract for cancelation policies.
- Registrations processed by credit card will be credited to the card used. All other refunds generally take 2-4 weeks to process.
Senior Services Refund Policy
TRIPS
- All trips are non-refundable unless there is a wait list and a replacement can be found.
- If minimums are not met, and the trip is cancelled, payment will be refunded.
CLASSES
- Individuals may try one new fitness class that they have not previously taken (at no cost) prior to registering for the class.
- Refunds to participants will be made for medical reasons only. Documentation from a medical professional is required for all refunds.
- Once a class session has begun, fees are not pro-rated and participants are charged the full cost of the class session.
- Refunds will be automatic if a class or program is canceled.
Program Cancelation Requests
Cancelation requests will only be accepted online in order to make program cancelations more convenient and efficient and ensure that cancelations are processed accurately:

Cancellation Information
insufficient registration. Programs are canceled on June 19 and July 14 unless otherwise stated.
Returned Checks
A $15.00 fee will be assessed for returned checks.
Financial Assistance
Discounted registration fees for basic programs are available for select programs to those who qualify under the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Eligibility and assistance determinations are made by Social
Services. Fee waivers apply to registration fees only. To apply, submit an Eligibility Application to the Social Services Department. Forms are available online or you may call (860)652-7638 to speak with a Social Worker. Once approved, your MyRec account will be updated and instructions for online registration will be provided. Eligibility for financial assistance does not guarantee a space in the program. Programs include:

- If Glastonbury Public Schools are cancelled, all programs and activities are cancelled. Town Offices and Buildings remain open and staff will be available. Residents should call Senior & Social Services (860)652-7638 to see if appointments are still on as scheduled.
- If Glastonbury Public Schools are delayed, all programs scheduled to start before 8:30 a.m. are cancelled.
- If Glastonbury Public Schools close for a weather-related early dismissal, after school and evening activities are cancelled. Please call to check for the status of early afternoon programming.
- Athletic field cancellation decisions due to inclement weather or poor field conditions will generally be made no later than 3:30 p.m. The Department reserves the right to make field cancellations up to 4:30 p.m. in response to late changing weather conditions. Please call the information line at (860)652-7689 for cancellation information.
- For evening and weekend cancellations decision will be made by staff and available on the cancellation line at least one hour prior to the start of programs.
The Glastonbury Parks and Recreation Department (“GPR”) reserves the right to photograph and record participants and attendees of any classes, programs and other events held or sponsored by GPR (“Events”), regardless of whether such event is held on property owned by the Town of Glastonbury. Photographs, audiotapes and videotapes of participants and attendees of the Events (collectively, “Recordings”) may be taken by GPR and may be published by GPR or a news outlet, in any format, including but not limited to, print and digital publications, media communications and social media (“Publication”). Under no circumstances shall participants or attendees receive any financial compensation related to the Publication of a Recording. All Recordings shall be the sole property of the Town.
Attendance at GPR Events constitutes consent to be photographed and recorded and for such Recordings to be used in any Publication.
If a participant or attendee of an Event does not want to have a Recording taken of him/her or of his/her dependent child and used in a Publication, he/she must complete and submit a “Photograph/Video Opt-Out Form” for each Event. All Opt-Out Forms must be submitted to GPR at least 5 business days in advance of the Event. Please note, an Opt-Out Form must be properly completed and submitted for each Event.
Parks and Recreation Concussion Information
To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, CDC developed the HEADS UP Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports.
