Community Outreach Functions:

• Coordinating community Police events such as Coffee With a Cop, Drug Take Back Collection Events, Toy Drives, Shop with a Cop, and other community-focused programs
• Consulting with businesses and property owners on crime prevention and physical security
• Identifying and solving reoccurring public safety issues within the community
• Handling requests from other communities for Police presentations and appearances
• Identifying strategic partnerships in the community that will improve public safety and public relations
• Formulating new strategies for building relationships between the police department and the community
• Other special projects as needed

About Officer Meaghan Conforto

Glastonbury's Community Outreach Officer, Meaghan Conforto, has served in law enforcement since 2021. In addition to her patrol experience, Officer Conforto is an active member of the Department’s Peer Support Team and serves as an advisor for the Glastonbury Police Cadet Program. She is enthusiastic about this community outreach role, where she looks forward to building strong relationships and working collaboratively with members of the community.
