Proper car seat installation is essential to ensuring your child's safety in a vehicle. Many parents unintentionally install seats incorrectly without even realizing it. 

The Glastonbury Police Department offers child safety seat inspections, conducted by our Certified Child Safety Seat Technicians, for Glastonbury residents.

Important Notes re: your appointment:

It is important to attempt to install the car seat yourself prior to having it inspected.

An inspection is NOT meant to be an install service, but rather an educational opportunity for the caregiver. It is not a one-time install/check with a “set it and forget it” mindset. The caregiver should be checking the CSS every time a child is placed in it for transport. The caregiver needs to know how to properly check the seat in order to ensure safe operation. Thank you!
