AM I REGISTERED?
Many people register to vote without realizing they already are registered. Visit check your voter registration status to see if you are registered to vote. Once on this website, you also have the ability to change your party affiliation, name, address, etc. or, if you are NOT yet registered, you can do so through the site as well. Last day to register online, at DMV, or by mail in registration card is October 17, 2025.
If you know you are NOT registered, visit the Secretary of the State's website.
REGISTERING TO VOTE
To register or update your registration information online, all you need is a valid Connecticut Driver's License, Driver's Permit, and/or a Department of Motor Vehicles Identification Card. Once on the online system, you can do the following:
- Become a new voter
- Change your address
- Change your party affiliation
- Change your name

ONLINE
To register to vote 24/7, please Visit the Online Voter Registration Website. You will need a CT driver's license, learner's permit, or Dept. of Motor Vehicles Identification Card. Upon registering, your information will be transmitted directly to the Town of Glastonbury Registrars' Office. For the November 4, 2025 Election, the deadline to apply online is October 17, 2025.
You are also able to use the online system using the last four digits of your social security number. The caveat is that after completing the information and voter registration form, you will need to download a copy of the completed form, sign it, and mail it to our office.
You can also register to vote at the Department of Motor Vehicles when you are updating your license. Cutoff is 10/17/2025.
MAIL-IN
Mail-in registration cards may be downloaded from the Secretary of State website or obtained from various public locations such as libraries, schools, Department of Motor Vehicle offices, or the Registrars of Voters office, located in the Lower Level of Town Hall (2155 Main St.). Deadline for mail-in is October 17, 2025, for the November 4, 2025, Election.
Please note you will need your Driver's License or Social Security Number to complete your registration.
IN-PERSON REGISTRATION
Visit the Registrars' Office at Town Hall (2155 Main Street) Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
For this upcoming election November 4, 2025, there is Same Day Registration (SDR) at Town Hall, 2155 Main St lower level.

VOTERS WHO REQUIRE ASSISTANCE

In compliance with Help America Vote Act of 2002, there is an accessible voting system in place at each polling location for those voters who are visually impaired or with other requirements. The voter goes to the poll and signs in as usual and is handed a ballot. An election official escorts the voter to the 'Inspire Ballot Marking System'. The voter has access to either an audio, push button, puffer, or keypad interface. Once the voter has completed their ballot selections, the ballot is inserted into the attached printer, printed and then brought by the voter to the tabulator for processing with all the other ballots.
