Welles Village Activity Council for Youth (W.A.C.Y.)

Our Services

A summer activity for youths ages 7-12 and leadership training program for youth ages 13-18 living in Welles Village. The overall goal of Welles Village Activity Council for Youth (WACY) is for leaders to serve as positive role models for younger children. To accomplish this, leaders receive extensive and on-going training in mentoring, self-esteem, decision-making and conflict management. The leaders then utilize their skills by supervising a summer activity program for younger children.

This 5-week summer program is offered in collaboration with the Glastonbury Housing Authority and Police Department Youth Division.
