Membership Registration opens Tuesday, September 22nd at 8:00 a.m. Passes cover all Open Gym programs for Glastonbury residents and non-residents where applicable.

If you had a physical key tag from last years open gym season, that pass will work upon purchase of an open gym pass for this season. Otherwise, you will receive a digital pass. If you would like a physical key tag please stop by the Parks and Recreation office to swap it out. This key tag can also be used if you purchased a pool pass this past summer as well. 

Daily admission can be purchased online and in person.

Daily Fee: $6 Residents/ $12 Non-Residents

Season Pass: $55 Residents/ $75 Non-Residents (Over 30 Basketball)/ $95 Non-Residents (Volleyball)

If you need to cancel your pre-registered spot, please click HERE to submit a cancellation request. With the popularity of the sports, if you are aware you are unable to attend a specific open gym night you registered for, please be sure to fill out a form so your spot can be given to another participant. 

NOTE: Having an Open Gym membership pass does not carry benefits of registering for open gym prior to others. The only benefit of an open gym pass is not paying daily admission when going to open gym programming. Pre-registration opens at the same time for pass holders and non-pass holders. 

Adult Basketball

For Glastonbury Residents ONLY. Must be 18 and over and have graduated High School.

Mondays 7:30- 9:30 PM at Smith Middle School Main Gym
Saturdays 2:00 PM- 6:00 PM at Glastonbury High School
Sundays 1:00 PM- 5:00 PM at Glastonbury High School

Over 30 Pick-Up Basketball

For adults 30 and over. Open to Glastonbury residents and non-residents.

Tuesdays 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at Smith Middle School Main Gym

Adult Volleyball

For adults 18 and over and out of high school. Open to Glastonbury residents and non-residents.

Enjoy a friendly pick-up game with men and women of various skills. Recreational style play for everyone!

For the 2026-2027 season, pre-registration will be optional but highly recommended. Maximum number of players per night will be capped at 35. If spots remain after pre-registration, walk-ins will be taken up until the cap of 35 people is hit.

If you are looking to pre-register for volleyball, you must have a MyRec account. Please be sure to create one for pre-registration. You will use this account to pre-register for each month. Pre-registration can be completed HERE.

Pre-registration will be opening on the second to last Tuesday of each month for the following month. Please see a schedule below: 

• October: Tuesday, September 22nd at 8:00 a.m.
• November: Tuesday, October 20th at 8:00 a.m.
• December: Tuesday, November 17th at 8:00 a.m.
• January: Tuesday, December 22nd at 8:00 a.m.
• February: Tuesday, January 19th at 8:00 a.m.
• March: Tuesday, February 16th at 8:00 a.m.
• April: Tuesday, March 23rd at 8:00 a.m.
• May/June: Tuesday, April 20th at 8:00 a.m.

Helpful Information

• Unfortunately, we are unable to add additional courts due to the main gym at Smith Middle School not being lined for volleyball and other schools unavailable for use/not having lines for volleyball. 
• Pre-registration is strongly recommended as priority will be given to those who pre-register. Walk ins will be taken on a first come first serve basis and is capped once 35 players are hit. 

Youth Basketball

For youth 17 years and younger. This program is for Glastonbury residents only and is FREE. An Open Gym Youth Pass is required for entry.

•  NEW THIS YEAR: A FREE Open Gym Youth Pass is required to participate and will be scanned to enter the program. Participants can register for a pass online or at the Parks and Recreation office.
• Children in grade 6 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
• Participants must bring their Open Gym Youth Pass to present to the staff.
• Participants MUST be picked up by the end of the program (9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 5:00 p.m. on Sundays)
• If participants are not following the rules, they will be asked to leave open gym and parent contact will be attempted based on the information that is provided upon pass registration.

Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at Smith Middle School (Main & Aux Gyms)
Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Glastonbury High School
Sundays from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Glastonbury High School
