Letter from the Director

Come join the fun with Glastonbury Parks & Recreation’s Music and Arts Camp Extended Day program! The Extended Day program transforms the Music & Arts experience into a full-day camp! Campers simply go directly from their last Music & Arts class to join their peers and counselors in their Extended Day classroom. Campers in our Extended Day program are picked up at 4:00 pm after lunch with friends, engaging field trips, and on-site camp activities!

There is never a dull moment when you are in M&A’s Extended Day; we have four exciting weeks of trips and activities planned! Structured like a traditional day camp, we provide a full afternoon of fun immediately following Music & Art’s Camp each day, with field trips, swimming, on-site activities, and a camp-wide talent show. Field trips are tailored to each age group and feature bowling, arcades, mini golf, roller skating, movies, inflatables, and more! With the exception of swimming, most field trips are indoors, allowing for fun to happen rain or shine!

The registration process will be the same as last year; campers will register for an Extended Day group based on their grade level. Enrollment for the popular M&A Extended Day Camp “Bash” is separate and space is limited, so we encourage families not to hesitate in signing up.

Back by popular demand, we will again offer a special event on Friday July 17th from 8:30am - 4:00pm; M&A Extended Day Camp “Bash” at Lake Compounce Amusement Park. Campers will be dropped off at Smith Middle School and take a bus to Bristol, CT where they’ll enjoy age-appropriate rides, games, and snacks in small, supervised groups. Campers will not have the opportunity to visit the water park.

All of us at Music & Arts Extended Day look forward to the beginning of this camp season as we welcome new and returning campers. Just like its parent program Music & Arts Camp, Music & Arts Camp Extended Day is GREAT!
