Road Safety Action Plan Steering Committee

The Town of Glastonbury has been awarded a planning grant under the Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Grant Program which provides funds for the development of a Road Safety Action Plan aimed at improving roadway safety and reducing traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries.  One of the requirements of the grant program is to establish a steering committee to oversee development of this plan. 

The Road Safety Action Plan Steering Committee is comprised of selected members of the Town Council, the Bike Walk Glastonbury, the Glastonbury Bicycle Advisory Group, and the Capital Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) and is supported by selected town staff who have expertise in the relevant areas under discussion.

Upcoming Public Information Meeting 3/19/2026

Join us at the Riverfront Community Center on Thursday, March 19th at 7:00 p.m. to review the draft Safety Action Plan being developed by the Town of Glastonbury to improve traffic safety in the town as part of the Safe Streets for All Grant Program. The purpose of the plan is to recommend steps to reduce fatal and serious injuries from traffic collisions, through measures such as roadway improvements and safety campaigns. Zoom link will be available closer to the date for those who cannot attend in person.
