Annual Community Events

Glastonbury has a highly active community and there are a number of diverse events held annually for community members of all ages to enjoy. The following provides a brief selection of such events. Recreational Events & Programs

  • Apple Harvest and Music Festival - Multi-day weekend event hosted by the CT River Valley Chamber of Commerce (October)
  • Book Sales - Hosted by Friends of the WTML - Spring, Fall, and Winter - Proceeds Benefit Welles-Turner Memorial Library. Please visit their website for more information.
  • Children's Performances - December and February. Coordinated by Parks & Recreation.
  • Community Tag Sale (September)
  • Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs (April)
  • Farmer's Market (June - September)
  • Holiday Programs - A summary of holiday themed events and programs (happening from November - January each year) is available on our Holiday Programs page. Note - this page is only active from November through January!
  • Riverfront Park Summer Music Series - Free evening concerts at the nationally recognized Riverfront Park. (July/August)
  • Santa's Run Road Race - A fun, festive, and nationally recognized road race involving costumes, prizes, and fun for the whole family. (December)
  • Theater Productions with Youth and Family Services - Produced seasonally with local actors!
  • Youth Fishing Derby (April)

Glastonbury Historical Society Events

The local historical society hosts a number of annual events as well as one-time events throughout the year. Please visit the Glastonbury Historical Society website to view upcoming events.

Health and Safety Events

  • Vaccination Clinics - A series of clinics hosted each fall by the Glastonbury Health Department
  • Weekly Wellness Clinics at Riverfront Community Center
  • Car Seat Safety Events hosted by the Police Department
